PRODUCT INFORMATION
We are proud to say that absolutely no animal testing occurs at any level in the production of our products. We have taken great measures to make sure our laboratory and ingredient suppliers do not test on animals. We do not engage in third party-testing, and will never sell our products in countries where that is a requirement. We are also Leaping Bunny certified.
Almost all sunless tanning products contain fragrance, essential oils, drying alcohols, synthetic colors, silicones, parabens, & PEG’s - ingredients that do not play any role in the formula’s efficacy and have been proven to aggravate, sensitize and dry out skin. You will never see any of these ingredients in our products. Every product in our range is a skin friendly blend of the highest quality natural tanning actives with moisturizing powerhouses and vitamin rich ingredients. We strongly believe that nourishing and taking care of the skin results in the most natural looking and longest lasting color.
You should see color develop within 4 - 6 hours. You can then reapply to deepen the color. For specific product related questions, please refer to the respective product page.
Your tan should last you anywhere from 5 - 10 days. Several factors influence how long your color stays on your body - the quality of your self tanner, your preparation before application, your skin type, how often you shower, and how you care for your skin afterwards. All of our formulas are suitable for all skin types—no exceptions. We exclusively develop with with gentle, skin-friendly, non comedogenic ingredients to remain compatible with our customers who have more sensitive and/or acne-prone skin. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page.
Yes. All of our products are vegan and do not contain any animal based ingredients.
Absolutely. Every ingredient is safe for the more delicate and difficult facial skin, and will help build healthy, natural color. For a more subtle sun-kissed look, mix our products with your current facial moisturizer.
Contrary to popular belief, the synthetic dyes in self tanning products do not affect the resulting color. Their sole purpose is to show you where you have applied the product. There can be dozens of undisclosed, harmful chemicals in a single dye, and these chemicals can cause skin sensitivity, irritation and dryness. These dyes can also break down the tanning actives used, resulting in streaking and uneven fading. For us, the cons simply outweigh the convenience of a guide.

DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) is naturally derived from sugar. The molecules in the sugar react with amino acids found in the top layer of the skin, and produce a browning effect. It has a long history of safe use when applied topically and does not pose any health risks to the skin.
Our products are manufactured in the United States Of America.
All skin and body care products are required by law to have an expiration date. This ensures that a product will uphold its quality, performance and safety for consumer use within a given time period. Our products have a 2 year shelf life from the manufacturing date (printed on the back of every tube) and a 6 month period of use once opened.
We recommend consulting with your doctor if you are pregnant and looking to use any product in our range.
Most products must contain a preservative to prevent contamination. This is especially important with water based formulas. In small amounts, specific preservatives are considered safe, and the risk to skin from using a contaminated product is considered far greater than using a small amount of a preservative. We choose to use a blend of Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin at the recommended use level of 1.0%. Ethylhexylglycerin is a skin conditioning ingredient that also has the power to enhance the Phenoxyethanol’s ability to keep the product free from bacteria. Both have extensively been proven effective and safe to use and will not irritate or sensitize skin. That being said, we strive to be always be proactive in researching and discovering new ingredients as they become available.

Once your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation email that includes your order number. Please allow approximately 1-2 business days for fulfillment and an additional delivery 2-6 business days for delivery depending on the delivery method chosen. Expedited orders must be placed by 10 a.m. PT to ship the same day and will be delivered 2 business days after fulfillment confirmation.
Please note: Expect longer fulfillment times during heavy volume periods such as a product launch or promotional period.
We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and PayPal. When your credit card is authorized, funds are put on hold until the transaction is complete. All purchases require bank authorization prior to shipping. Only authorized orders will be processed and shipped. Your billing information must be exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. Be sure to correctly spell city names and avoid using abbreviations, unless that's how it appears on your statement.
Your credit card will be charged as soon as your order is processed.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed before 10 AM PST will ship the same day. All orders placed after 10 AM PST will be shipped the following business day. Please allow up to 2 business days for your order to ship. Processing times may be longer if we are experiencing high order volume (i.e. during holidays and promotional periods)
You’ll get an email notification with a tracking number when your order has shipped. Depending on the carrier, it may take a few hours for tracking to show updates.

Standard Shipping on orders $50 or more is free. This total is calculated before tax and shipping, and after promotional discounts. No promotional code is required for redemption.
Shipping options and costs available to you will be provided at checkout.
Orders will be shipped via USPS First Class, USPS Priority or UPS Mail Innovations. UPS Mail Innovations will ship via UPS but will be delivered by your local USPS. Carrier and tracking information will be provided once the order has shipped.
Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands may experience longer transit times.
We are not responsible for any delays in carrier transit times.
We process and ship orders M-F, excluding holidays. Orders generally take 1-3 business days to ship. On average, orders are delivered within 3-4 business days.
We unfortunately do not ship internationally at this time.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
We will gladly accept returns on orders within 30 days of their delivery date. Items must be unopened, unused and include all of their original packaging. Any request that doesn’t meet the above requirements will be treated on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to deny a refund should you not meet this criteria.
To initiate a return, please reach out to our Customer Care Team at support@sol-bar.com with your order number and specify which products you would like to return. Our customer care team will then send you the return instructions.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non refundable. For that reason, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance when returning your items. We will notify you once your return has been received and approved. The refund will be processed to the original form of payment.
Please note that we also do not refund the initial shipping cost when processing a return. The original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund total.
In an effort to reduce waste, we do not include return slips in your order. Please email support@soleau-store.com to initiate your return.
Please allow 5-7 business days for your return to arrive at our returns center. Once received, we will initiate a refund which will be credited back to your original form of payment in around 3-7 business days.
